On Friday 31 January, Rustenburg celebrated Founders’ Day with a tea, special assembly and lunch. Our guest speaker was Dr. Leila Amien (E2012) who shared her story with us – from her experience at Rustenburg to her active involvement in Operation Smile.
Many of our past pupils who attended, young and old, expressed their gratitude and appreciation for having had the opportunity to come to a school like Rustenburg.
Some commented that the buildings and grounds have become even more beautiful. Others shared stories ranging from Bosch raiding the hostel to strict teachers warning them to act like “ladies”.
They were most impressed with the cultural diversity at Rustenburg and are proud of how the school has evolved.
