Indoor Hockey vs St Cyprian’s
On 26 January we saw the return of the Indoor Hockey league. This was the first time we have played the Indoor Hockey League since 2019, and it was fantastic to see the joy on the faces of our players. We had the privilege of being hosted by St Cyprian’s at their wonderful, brand new Indoor Centre.
We also included our new Grade 8 players in the league for the first time, and they all played wonderfully well. Results were as follows:
- RGHS 1 vs St Cyprian’s 1 – RGHS won 1-0
- RGHS 2 vs St Cyprian’s 2 – RGHS lost 0-2
- RGHS 3 vs St Cyprian’s 5 – RGHS won 3-2
- RGHS U14 vs St Cyprian’s 6 – RGHS drew 2-2
- RGHS 4 vs St Cyprian’s 7 – RGHS won 2-0
Swimming
Michaela Labuschagne (Grade 9) participated in the Western Cape open water championships. She completed the 3km and the 5km events. Michaela finished the 3km in 48 minutes and 28 seconds and the 5km in 1 hour 21 minutes both qualifying her to compete in the SA National Open Water Championships to be held in March.
Congratulations on these excellent results.
