On Friday, 11 October, three Grade 10 Accounting learners were given the special opportunity to spend a day at PSG Asset Management in Constantia, as part of the CFA Day of the Girl initiative.
When they arrived they were given “goodie bags” with branded items. They learned all about investing and asset management and were able to see what “a day in the life of an investment analyst” entails. They even got to see shares being traded live on the Bloomberg Screens!
They played a special game of 30 Seconds: Investment Edition (clues relating to investments, accounting & the latest brands/pop culture). Lastly, they were treated to lunch with the CEO of the company. Overall they had a lot of fun and who knows – perhaps a few years from now they may find themselves working in the finance & investment industry!
Zayhah Banderker, Rania Hendricks, and Amelie Fife (Grade 10s) spent a day at PSG Asset Management as part of the CFA Day of the Girl Programme.
