Netball

The whistles blew, the cheers erupted, and the netball season officially sprang to life last Thursday, 17 April! Our Rustenburg netball teams laced up their takkies and took to their home courts, ready to face their first challenge of the league against Westerford High School. With the sun shining down and the enthusiastic support of fellow peers and proud parents filling the air, there was a palpable buzz of excitement. After a long period of preparation, our players were clearly eager to finally get their league campaign underway, knowing that every match is a valuable opportunity.

What a fantastic way to kick off the season, going head-to-head against the Westerford contingent! It was a brilliant chance for our teams to test their mettle and build some early confidence. Here’s a breakdown of how each team performed on the day:

Rustenburg will once again be hosting, this time welcoming Springfield Convent on Thursday, 24 April.

Inter-Provincial Action Netball Tournament

Congratulations to Abby Moolman (Grade 9) on her outstanding achievement at the Inter-Provincial Action Netball Tournament! Abby represented the Western Cape Coastal team, which went undefeated throughout the tournament and brought home the gold medal. What an incredible accomplishment—well done, Abby! We are so proud of you.
