Tennis
Congratulations to Maggie Krieg (Grade 11), Emma Hilton (Grade 9), Rylie Hodgskiss (Grade 9) and Evelyn Lindsay (Grade 9) who travelled to George last Thursday, 14 March, to take part in the Synergy tournament where they played against Eden and Cavaliers. CT came second in the U18 group.
Mega Festival
We would love to wish the Netball and Football players travelling to George from 24 – 29 March to represent Rustenburg Girls’ High School in the Mega Festival. We are cheering you on, and wish you a safe and enjoyable tour.
Touch Rugby
The Touch Rugby season finally came to a close on Friday 15 March. The Rustenburg First team faced a formidable Wynberg Girls’ team in the final. The team won the match and was crowned the 2024 A-League Champions. What a fitting way to bid Mnr Neethling and the matrics goodbye.
The Second, Third and Fourth teams also played on Friday. All three teams walked away with medals. Congratulations to all the touch players, coaches, teachers in charge and a big thank you to all the supporters.

Lifesaving
Ellen Hodgkinson (Grade 11) has been selected to represent Lifesaving Western Cape (LWC) at the annual South African Inter-Provincial Surf Lifesaving Championships. We congratulate Ellen on her achievement, her selection merits full Provincial colours for the sport of lifesaving.
Open Water Swimming
Skye Micklethwaite (Grade 12) and Reese Edwards (Grade 9) competed in the Bridge House Mile on Saturday, 16 March 2024.
Reese swam the 400m event and Skye competed in the mile. Skye was the 4th female in, placed 11th overall in a race of 395 entrants. Reese was the 3rd female in and placed 6th overall in a race of 80 entrants.
Caitlin Evans (Grade 8) participated in the SA Nationals Open Water Swimming Championship which took place in Jeffreys Bay from 8-10 March. In the 3km event, she came second in the U14 category (third overall). In the 5km event, she finished second in the 14-15yr category and qualified for the Junior World Championships in September. Well done Caitlin!
Athletics
Skye Micklethwaite (Grade 12) took part in the Western Province Athletics Championships recently. She ran the 800m and comfortably made the finals the next day. It was a tough race with a strong wind and hot temperatures, and Skye finished in 6th place. This is a commendable feat with a very strong group of girls in this event. Well done!
