Rustenburg has a long tradition of success in the National Senior Certificate examinations, and the school regularly receives awards from the Western Cape Education Department in recognition of academic excellence based on the results of these examinations.Matric Results 2023
At the National Senior Certificate (NSC) Awards Ceremony held at Leeuwenhof on Tuesday, 30th January 2024, Rustenburg Girls' High School secured 3rd position in the Western Cape and proudly stands as the leading public school among the top 20 schools in the province, with an enrollment of 80 learners or more. Three outstanding matriculants: Caitlin Anstey, Caitlin Jackson and Stella Lazarus were recognised for their exceptional accomplishments across the province. Particularly noteworthy is Caitlin Anstey's joint 4th place ranking amongst the top students in the Western Cape, a testament to her outstanding academic commitment.
Individual subject excellence was also highlighted, with Stella Lazarus securing the top position in Accounting, Caitlin Jackson excelling in English Home Language, and Caitlin Anstey being the top student in Geography.
Highlights include:
- 151 candidates and a 100% pass rate
- 149 (98.7%) achieved a Bachelors Pass
- 567 subject distinctions (80%+)
- 77 learners achieved four or more
- subject distinctions
- 10 learners achieved an aggregate of 90%+
- 7 learners achieved 8 or more subject distinctions.
